Ah, our last episode... the boys tanned, toned, fresh off vacation, and ready to go.
There's plenty of good stuff in that episode and your best bet is to go get an earful to hear what we think about all of our current gear. (Sad trombone for Tom's Vision Pro, but otherwise we're both pretty damn pleased with our current gear selection.) So, rather than rehash the podcast, let's have a look at some hidden gems that we mentioned but which didn't get the play they should have in the ep.
The Boys of Summer
You're all quite pleased that I didn't swing into my own rendition of Don Henley's The Boys of Summer, a great summer tune (thus the summer in the title, amiright?), but Tom made mention of another version of that tune by The Altaris, claiming it was pretty great. As I'm disinclined to just believe something when someone tells me, I decided to have a listen myself to see if my co-host had a clue. Which, in fact, he did. So, here, for your listening pleasure, is The Altaris' version of The Boys of Summer.
And, as happens with these things, that one tune sent me down a rabbit hole of other covers of these Boys, wherein I found yet another very different version by First Aid Kit. Chiller, to be sure, but also incredibly good.
And, if those two don't get your groove on, check out this dance-ish version by DJ Sammy.
And, after all of that, how can we not give you a live version to fill your veins with the feel of summer.

For Those With Wacky Ear Canals
Tom also mentioned Comply™ Foam Eartips, which I ordered immediately after the show was over. I confess, I have weird ears. I dunno, maybe we all do. It would make me feel much better if that was true, but all my insecurities aside, my ear canals are such that one day the ear bud will fit in my ear perfectly and the next it will tumble to the floor no matter what I do. I've been using these Comply™ earbuds now for a couple of weeks and can highly recommend them. Tight, form-fit, and, to date, haven't had a single problem with them falling out or feeling loose.
Thanks Tom!
